I have taken a hiatus for about a week and a half due to a change in lifestyle, so to speak. Now that I am starting to get back on track, today's "Historical Picture of the Day" is from the U.S. Presidential Election of 1948, between Harry S. Truman and Thomas Dewey. Dewey was sure to win, but Truman slipped by in the end to claim the presidency. As you can see above, Truman was quite elated. Unlike today's Democrats, Truman was the epitome of a true Democrat that put America first. Be sure to vote this election, for this election holds a special value in America's future.
