Historical Picture of the Day- My Three Favorite Historians

Today's "Historical Picture of the Day" is actually three photographs of three of my most favorite historians. Pictured from top to bottom is Arthur Schlesinger Jr., John Erickson, and Quintin Barry. My favorite historian out of these three would most likely be none other than the late John Erickson of Defence Studies at Edinburgh University. My aspirations, as an apprentice historian, is to one day be an expert level research historian that Erickson achieved during his lifetime. Erickson was one of very few academic intermediaries, between the Soviet Union and the United States, during the Cold War.
Arthur Schlesinger Jr. was a very notable historian of high distinction of U.S. history and policy, known also for his close friendship with the late President of the United States John F. Kennedy; and, because of his position, his role to the President became that as an adviser of international relations.
Quintin Barry's skill of  specific historical contexts centered around late 19th century European history; and, has written very advanced research books on the Prussian conflicts of German Unification, and Eastern European war history.
